We correct errors openly. Accuracy matters more than appearing infallible.
How we handle corrections
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed, with a note appended to the article explaining what changed and when.
- Significant corrections — those that change the meaning of a story — are clearly flagged at the top of the article.
- Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made without a formal note.
- We do not silently delete or rewrite published stories to hide mistakes.
