Crypto Price Converter
Convert any cryptocurrency into another coin or US dollars at live market rates.
About the Crypto Price Converter
This free converter lets you instantly convert between any of the top 100 cryptocurrencies and US dollars using live market rates. Pick the coin you're converting from, the coin or currency you're converting to, enter an amount, and the result updates in real time. Rates are sourced from live market data and refresh continuously.
How it works
Each conversion uses the current USD price of both assets: the tool divides the source coin's price by the target's to get the exchange rate, then multiplies by your amount. For fiat conversions, 1 USD is the base. For a full market overview, see our live markets page.
How to use it
Pick the coin you want to convert from and type in an amount.
Choose the coin or currency you want to convert into.
Read the live converted value — rates refresh automatically.
What is the crypto price converter?
The TBN Express crypto price converter is a free tool that instantly converts any cryptocurrency into another coin or into US dollars at live market rates. Whether you want to know how much one Bitcoin is worth in US dollars, how many Ethereum you could buy with 500 USDT, or the value of a small altcoin holding, the converter does the maths for you in real time across the top 100 cryptocurrencies.
Crypto prices move every second, and most assets are quoted against several different pairs. A reliable converter removes the guesswork: instead of opening an exchange, finding the right trading pair and reading an order book, you simply pick two assets and read the result.
Why use a cryptocurrency converter?
- Quick valuations — check the dollar value of any holding in seconds.
- Cross-coin rates — convert directly between two coins (for example BTC to ETH) without manual calculation.
- Planning trades — see roughly how much of one asset you would receive for another before you place an order.
- No account needed — it is free, private and runs entirely in your browser.
How the converter works
Every conversion is based on the current market price of each asset in US dollars, sourced from live market data for the top 100 cryptocurrencies. To convert between two coins, the tool calculates each coin’s dollar value and derives the cross-rate. For example, if Bitcoin trades at $70,000 and Ethereum at $3,500, then one Bitcoin equals exactly 20 ETH (70,000 ÷ 3,500). Because the rates are pulled live, the figure updates as the market moves.
A worked example
Suppose you hold 2.5 ETH and want to know its value in dollars and in Bitcoin. If Ethereum trades at $3,500, then 2.5 ETH = $8,750. If Bitcoin trades at $70,000, that same holding is worth 8,750 ÷ 70,000 = 0.125 BTC. The converter performs both calculations the moment you enter the amount.
Reference price vs. the price you actually get
The converter shows an aggregated reference rate — a fair mid-market price combined across major exchanges. The amount you receive on an exchange can differ slightly because of the bid-ask spread, trading fees, and slippage on larger orders. Treat the converter as an accurate guide to value, not a guaranteed execution price.
Popular conversions
Some of the most-searched conversions include BTC to USD, ETH to USD, SOL to USD, XRP to USD and DOGE to USD. Open any coin page for its live price, chart and forecast.
Understanding crypto trading pairs
On an exchange, every cryptocurrency is quoted against another asset in a “trading pair” — for example BTC/USDT, ETH/BTC or SOL/USD. The first asset is what you are buying or selling; the second is what you are pricing it in. A converter spares you from hunting for the right pair: it derives the rate between any two assets from their individual US-dollar prices, so you can go straight from, say, Cardano to Polkadot without finding a direct ADA/DOT market.
Why crypto prices differ between exchanges
You may notice that Bitcoin’s price is slightly different on Binance, Coinbase and Kraken at the same moment. That is normal. Each exchange is its own marketplace with its own order book, liquidity and user base, so supply and demand — and therefore price — vary a little from venue to venue. Our converter uses an aggregated price that blends many exchanges into a single fair reference, which is the most representative number for valuing a holding.
Converting stablecoins and fiat
Stablecoins such as USDT, USDC and DAI are designed to track the US dollar, so converting them is usually close to a one-to-one exchange — though tiny deviations from $1.00 do occur. When you convert a volatile coin to a stablecoin, you are effectively seeing its dollar value; when you convert between two stablecoins, the result should be very close to parity.
Crypto converter vs. exchange quote
It is important to understand the difference between the converter’s number and the amount an exchange will actually give you. The converter shows the mid-market value. An exchange adds a spread between its buy and sell prices, charges a trading fee, and — on larger orders — may move the price against you (slippage). For small amounts the difference is minor; for large trades it can be meaningful. Always check the final quote on your exchange before trading.
Common conversion mistakes to avoid
- Confusing units — entering an amount in the wrong coin. Double-check which side is “from” and which is “to”.
- Assuming the rate is fixed — crypto prices move constantly, so a conversion is a snapshot, not a locked quote.
- Forgetting fees — the converter shows value, not the post-fee amount you will receive.
- Ignoring decimals — small-cap coins can have many decimal places; a misplaced point changes everything.
A note on taxes
In many countries, converting one cryptocurrency into another — or into fiat — is a taxable event, even if you never withdraw to a bank. Keep a record of the value at the time of each conversion. Our converter can help you estimate that value, but it is not tax advice; consult a qualified professional for your situation.
