Nursing Migration 2025 begins, Here’s How to Apply

The Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) has officially opened the online application portal for the first phase of migration for Nursing Admission. The online application process is set to start on May 20, 2025. Interested candidates can apply until May 28, 2025.

As you know that, Nursing Result for Admission test was published on May 18, 2025. Those who want to change their college, can apply the migration system. The BNMC Migration Process provides an opportunity for newly admitted students to request a transfer from their current institution to another preferred government institution within the BNMC-approved list. The process will be completed through the respective admitting institution.

BNMC Migration 2025

Students who have been admitted to government institutions under the 2024–25 academic year for the following courses are eligible to apply:

  • Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery
  • Diploma in Midwifery
  • BSc in Nursing (if applicable under this session)

How to Apply for Migration

Students must access the official BNMC at bncdb.bnmc.gov.bd using the user ID and password issued by their currently enrolled institution. After logging in, they need to navigate to the Student Management section and select the Student Migration Application option to begin the process.

Choose Preferred Institution

Applicants are allowed to choose up to four (4) institutions as their preferred migration options.

  • Codes 101–201: Institutes of Nursing
  • Codes 201–365: Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery Institutes
  • Codes 366–400: Midwifery Institutes

Submission of Preference Form with Authorization

Once the preferences are submitted online, the student must print the migration form and get it signed and sealed by both the guardian and the head of the current institution. The completed and authorized form must be retained by the institution. Importantly, no physical documents are required to be sent to the BNMC office.

Priority-Based Selection

Migration will be processed based on:

  • Institutional seat availability
  • Student’s submitted preferences
  • Priority order mentioned in the application

What Happens If Migration Is Not Approved?

In cases where a student is not selected for migration despite submitting valid preferences, they will remain enrolled at their currently admitted institution. Furthermore, if a student applies incorrectly or mistakenly submits an application but is not selected, no migration will occur. Then the student must continue their studies at the original institution.

The BNMC’s first phase migration application process is an opportunity for Nursing and Midwifery students who wish to change their institutes.

For official updates and detailed guidance, students should remain in contact with their respective institutions and regularly visit the BNMC portal at bncdb.bnmc.gov.bd.
