After eight years of break, the admission test for Honours 1st Year Admission under National University begins today, May 31, 2025. The exam is conducting at 879 centers in 64 district cities of the country. The MCQ Type exam will be continue till 12 PM.
As per the report, about 6,00,000 students from all over the country have applied for Honours Admission session 2024-25. However, a total of 5,60,595 applicants are selected for the admission test. Interested candidates will be participating the admission test in the college mentioned in the admit card.
National University conducted the admission test last time 8 years ago for the session 2014-25. Candidates were admitted after passing on the test. Next year, the admission system were changed. The students (session 2015-16) were admitted based on their GPA on SSC and HSC Examination.
The authority has announced that, they will conduct the admission test from 2024-25 session. As a result, National University has released the admission circular with new guideline.
NU Admission Test 2025: Mark Distribution
According to the syllabus issued by university, there will be 100 marks in the test. Among them, 20 for Bangla, 20 for English, and 20 for General Knowledge. On the other hand, there will be 40 marks separately for each group.
The good news is; there will be no nagative marking system. So, if the candidates submit wrong answer, no mark will be cut from the total marks. Candidates will need to get at least 35 marks to pass the admission test.
Total Seats
The Honours Course is available in 881 colleges under National University. Among them, 264 are Govt and 617 are Non-Govt College. As per the official report, there was 4,36,285 seats in the Honours Course for the session 2022-23. On the other hand, there was 4,21,990 seats for Degree Pass and Certificate Course.
