The SSC Mark Distribution 2026 has officially been announced. The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has released the Syllabus, Subject Wise Question Pattern, and Mark Distribution on the official website. The students who are going to participate in the SSC 2026 Exam, must know detailed about how marks will be divided across various question formats, such as creative writing, MCQs.

The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has announced the Subject Wise Mark Distribution for the upcoming SSC Exam. The authority made this important announcement on May 15, 2025 through NCTB.

SSC Mark Distribution 2026

The Secondary School Certification (SSC) is the first public examination in Bangladesh. Every year, the exam is held on the first week of February. About 18 to 19 lakh students from all over the country participate in this board exam.

If you’re preparing for the upcoming exam, it’s important to know the question pattern. The exam is divided into three parts: Creative Questions, Descriptive Questions, and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Marks Distribution: Bangla 1st Paper

According to the SSC 2026 Mark Distribution, there will be 100 Marks in Bangla 1st Paper. Each Creative Question carries 10 marks, each Descriptive Question carries 10 marks, and each MCQ is worth 1 mark.

Creative Questions

In Bangla 1st Paper, there will be 8 Creative Questions in total — 4 from the prose section and 4 from the poetry section. You need to answer 4 Creative Questions — 2 from prose and 2 from poetry.

You need to answer 3 questions from this section, and at least one must be a Practical Question. The name of the section and question number will be clearly mentioned.

MCQ Part:

There will be 30 MCQs-15 from the prose section and 15 from the poetry section. You must answer all the MCQs.

Bangla 2nd Paper

The SSC 2026 Bangla 2nd Paper exam will assess students’ writing, grammar, and language skills through a well-structured format. The exam is divided into two major sections: a Descriptive Section carrying 70 marks and an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) Section carrying 30 marks. Understanding the format is important for effective preparation.

The Descriptive Section will test the student’s ability to write and express ideas clearly. It contains different types of writing tasks, such as paragraph writing, letter or report writing, summary, and essay composition.

Key parts of the Descriptive Section include:

On the other hand, the MCQ Section is based on grammar and constructive writing. This section checks the student’s understanding of sentence structure, transformation, contraction, and basic grammar rules. There will be 30 MCQs in total, each carrying 1 mark.

To do well in this exam, students should regularly practice writing paragraphs, summaries, and essays. They should also revise grammar rules and practice sample MCQs.
