The Honours 1st Year Admission Test under National University has conducted on May 31, 2025. The MCQ Type exam for the session 2024-25 was taken from 11 AM to 12 PM. About 5.6 lakh candidates have participated the exam at 879 centers across the country.
The candidates who took the part in the test, now waiting for the Honours Admission Result.
According to National University source, the NU Admission result will be published after Eid Ul Adha. Once published, candidates can check their merit status directly from the official website.
“About 5.6 lakh candidates from all over the country appeared on the admission test. Due to a large number of candidates, the evaluation process will take more time. It is not possible to publish the result before Eid as the activites already closed for the holiday. For this reason, the result will be published after Eid,” added the source.
As per the syllabus, candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer. However, there is no negative marking for wrong answers. Those who will get at least 35 marks in the admission test, will be appear in the merit list.
Generally, National University published the admission result within two weeks of the application end. Last year, the result was published after two weeks of the online application. Although, the candidates were selected based on their GPA, it took about two weeks.
In 2025, the evalution process will take more time because of the admission test. It is assumed that, the admission result for the session 2024-25 will be published within or after June 15, 2025. The merit status along with total score can be checked online directly through the admission portal.
Note that, the National University reintroduced its admission test system after 8 years of break. NU had stopped holding admission tests after the 2014–15 academic session. Students were admitted in the Honours and Degree Course based on their GPA of SSC and HSC Exam from the session 2015-16 to 2023-24.
