Dhaka, Bangladesh: The wait is over for 5.6 lakh Candidates! National University Honours Admission Result 2025 for the session 2024-25 is set to be published today, Thursday (June 26). The merit list will be made available publicly at 12 PM. Candidates can check their results online or via Mobile SMS afterward.

The information has officially announced on Wednesday (June 25, 2025) by National University authority. It is said that the candidates can check their merit status online at www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.

“The admission test result of Honours 1st Year session 2024-2025 will be published on June 26, 2025. We have completed the evaluation process two days ago. We are waiting for the final review which is also completed. The result will be made live online at 12 PM,” said an officials.

5.6 Lakh Candidates waiting for Honours Admission Result

This year, admission test in National University return after eight years of break. NU admission test was held on May 31 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. About 550,000 candidates from all over the country participated the admission test. The test was conducted simultaneously across 879 centers in 64 districts.

Earlier, National University conducted the admission test last time for the academic year 2014-15. They introduced the GPA based admission system from the next year, session 2015-16. After almost eight years of break, NU admission test was reintroduced for the 2024–25 session.

NU Admission Result Published Time: Statistics

Generally, National University published the admission result within one or two weeks of the application deadline. It is very similar to public university admission like HSTU, Comilla University, Rajshahi University and more.

In 2024, National University published the admission result after two weeks of the online application. Although, the candidates were selected based on their GPA of SSC and HSC Exams.

How to Check The Merit List

  • Step 1: Access the Official NU Admission Portal – Visit the official National University admission website. You can go to www.nu.ac.bd/admissions or directly use admission.nu.edu.bd to access the result page.
  • Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Applicant Login’ Section under Honours – On the homepage, locate the “Honours” tab. Under this section, click on the option labeled “Applicant Login” to proceed to the login page.
  • Step 3: Provide Your Admission Roll and PIN Number – Now, input your Admission Roll Number and PIN as given during your initial application. If you can’t remember your PIN, simply click on the “Recover PIN” option to retrieve it.
  • Step 4: Tap on the ‘Login’ Button – After entering the necessary credentials correctly, press the “Login” button to move forward.
  • Step 5: View Your Admission Result – Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to see your admission result, including merit score, merit list position, and your college preference outcome directly on the screen.
  • Step 6: Save or Print Your Result (Optional) – You may download the result by clicking the “Print” button or simply take a screenshot for your records.

Available Seats for 2024-25 Academic Year

According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), undergraduate honors courses under National University are available in 881 colleges nationwide. Among these, 264 are government-run, while 617 are privately managed.

In the previous 2022–23 academic year, there were 436,285 seats in its honors programs. On the other hand, there were 421,990 seats for the Degree (pass course) program across 1,969 colleges for the 2023–24 academic year.
